Good food, good service and a serenade! Fun time at La Costa! We discovered this little gem 💎 as we were driving by. Looked it up and saw good reviews. Totally lived up to the positive reviews.

Simply put, great Mexican food with some Peruvian flavor thrown in. Chips and salsa served when you are sat down to eat. When asked for it, the staff will bring out a hot salsa that will not disappoint those of us who enjoy heat with our meals.I went with a group of people, and not a single one was disappointed with the meals they ordered, but the Peruvian meals were rated the highest at the table of six. I enjoyed a very good sangria with the meal to round off my dinner as well. The owner personally served us, was very quick and courteous. You could tell the love he has for his business, the food he serves, and the customers he interacts with on a daily basis. I am on a trip from the midwest and just passing through the town, otherwise I would go back again to hear him sing, eat great food and support someone who loves his work.

Magnificent atmosphere. Food was plenty and really tasty! Unknown til encountered, the owner is a very gifted singer. 'The Singing Waiter'! I almost choked when Elvis' Triology came to my ears. It actually sounded like the King himself were singing those verses. I'll be back guaranteed!

Fantastic food, especially the Peruvian dishes! The staff are very friendly, and the owner makes sure everything is perfect--and even provides live music. Our family had a wonderful time!

Service was excellent. The Peruvian dishes were prepared with care. The scallops were perfectly cooked. The Peruvian style lamb was nicely done. Clean restaurant with clean bathrooms.

This place is amazing! the service was great! The people are very friendly specially the owner, He is the best. He prepared me the best and authentic Peruvian dish. I send much love to then and hopefully I'll visit then soon.

This was the first place my family and I ate after moving up to this area. I was VERY disappointed. The decor was outdated, it held an odd smell, and the food was dry and bland. I would not reccomend this place. The wait staff was very pleasant, but the food and everything else was horrible.

Waited a long time to be seated, there were no other guests in the restaurant, food was decent, but not really even good. The only thing good about the place was the one guy who seemed to be filling every position was very polite, and kind and apologetic about the wait.

Staff were very willing to help us order GF and vegan. Enchiladas were great. Will visit again!

Stopped in for dinner the night of 6/2/12 based on google reviews. Was not disappointed. Place was packed. Excellent food quality and taste. Owner is Peruvian and they offer many authentic Peruvian dishes. Service was good. Recommended. Will return.

Great restaurant, every one of the staff was great, from the host to the manager, the food was great, every time I have come here, I will continue to come when I am in town and continue to tell others about this place when asked where to eat "Latin American" food.

Food Review: La Costa for dinner tonight. The food was fantastic and very large portions, had to bring some home! Rafael was our waiter and was very friendly, very attentive and a great conversationalist!! Price was great also. Would definitely recommend!!!!!! A+++

Of the 30 times I've been there, I've only ever had one minor bad experience (short-staffed...Someone may have been on vacation). Every other time it has been a phenomenal experience with the food and service!

There are not many vegan menu options. The refried beans have animal fat in them, and the rice has chicken stock added. That being said, I appreciated their honesty. I had mentioned my experience to another vegan. She was extremely upset, as she had been told that the rice was vegetarian/vegan.

The food is good, the owner is awesome

Solid Mexican and Peruvian food with complex flavors. The owner is very positive and friendly, and is the one who served us. He chuckled when we asked for the hot salsa, but brought it out quickly, hand made in the back. The atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming, and the new addition of the party-size room in the back is a great place for large groups. If you are lucky, you may get a live song performance. If you are looking for a good place for a filling and tasteful lunch or dinner, look no futher.

We drive from Roseburg to get the best food and service. We have been going to La Costa about 14 years. Raphael gives us personal service and treats us as well known friends.

The short of it: La Costa has excellent food, a wonderful atmosphere, and an awesome owner.You may think La Costa is just another Mexican restaurant in North Bend. After all, there are almost 20 in the surrounding area. Let me assure you, it is not. The owner of La Costa, Rafael Fernandez, has added a Peruvian flair to the food. The fajitas sizzled and popped in their skillet (literally), the guacamole was wonderfully tangy, and the prices were excellent.Furthermore, Mr. Fernandez SANG. He serenaded his customers between serving and clearing tables. He made it a truly unique and pleasant experience.tl;dr food was awesome, owner serenaded customers, you have to try this place.

A friend took me to this restaurant and the first thing I said was this is the most welcoming restaurant I've ever been to! Long ago I was a restaurant manager and the service here was excellent! Every other Saturday they have live music and it was a live music night as well when I went there my first time if you love Mexican with a touch of Peruvian and want to try Peruvian food this is the place to go! Great experience! The waiters and Waitresses are fabulous especially Gloria!

This restaurant was amazing! It's a Mexican restaurant that also serves Peruvian food, which made for a delightful surprise. If you're looking for Mexican food, this restaurant is the one for you.Our meal began with some chips and salsa, served by the owner of the restaurant himself. We asked for the spicier salsa, and he delivered. It had a tear-inspiring kick to it, and a smoky flavor that was delicious.The entrees were similarly delicious. The rice was Peruvian, rather than Mexican, and had a distinctly wonderful flavor. The whole beans that come with the Peruvian dishes on the menu were excellent. The rest also serves Mexican and American dishes.We ended the meal with a personal serenade from the owner, who performs in a mariachi band. His voice was quite good!All in all, this restaurant is worth the trip!

We were turned off by the faded sign in front and the casino machines in the front entry. Thinking this was one of those 'jewels in the rough', and due to the high marks in other reviews, we thought we'd try it. We were sorely disappointed.I believe the owner was our waiter and was very gracious. My husband ordered the Peruvian fish and I had the veggie fajita. I did ask for them to hold the oil and they did a great job with that. However, my husband's fish was so dry and salty, he couldn't hardly eat it. His beans were actually sour and we had to send them back. Though the owner was gracious and re-plated the food after replacing the beans, it was discouraging to hear him say, "yes, they were off just a little bit". No, they were nasty, rotten sour. We were so disappointed. It had a dirty, casino feel, and the loud people in the casino room were overpowering at times. We will not be back. The reviews actually amaze us.

I purchased two burritos for $11.50 each and am sorely disappointed at the quality. I had a carnitas burrito that was tasteless, with very little actual pork in it. My son had a chicken burrito. He found an inch long chicken bone in his burrito and pockets of sour cream and guacamole. These should have been $5 burritos at the most. There is no worse feeling that paying good money for mediocre restaurant food. Very poor quality and overpriced!

I've eaten here lot's of times. Service is great and the food is tasty. Totally recommend.
